"To Gary/The World

27th April 2003

Tonight I realized the power of business and personal business building across the internet - yes, it is possible.

I've experienced it in Gary Vurnum. 5 months ago I subscribed to his Our Success Partnership newsletter. I found it through a search engine link - not through a recommendation of another person - probably the most impersonal way possible.

However, over the months I received Gary's tips - they were rich in real content and helpful informational info.

In addition, to my surprise, Gary shared his family, his heart, his purpose and motivation for life with us (ME).

When he shared his challenges with family...how difficult it was to go on vacation and holidays. He shared the challenges Connor and his daughter had - their joys and victories.

I still remember clearly the morning I read the email that Connor had passed away. I felt the emotion 8,000 miles away. I prayed for his family and thought about Connor and how he encouraged me. How the Vurnum family's life encouraged me at a difficult time for me. Connor's life encouraged me. The courage and love of his family encouraged me. I know his purpose on this earth, though short - was purposeful and has touched, and will touch, more lives than we can know.

His challenges, his physical handicaps on the outside were challenges - and, although I didn't know him, I know he had huge heart strength and love so strong that it crossed half the earth. I am glad he lived and thankful that he influenced his father to make a difference in others' lives.

So - getting back to tonight - I felt as if I know the Vurnum family - shared grief and joy. Then I attended a seminar in Vancouver - I live in Seattle - Gary in the UK.

Went to dinner alone on the last night and saw some of the other attendees...and across me is a guy who says that he helps motivate and develop people on the Internet.

I looked at him - OH MY GOD - it's Gary Vurnum sitting across from me. 8,000 miles difference...it's Gary. Amazing. It felt so powerfully amazing and in awe that I felt I already knew him. Instant rapport. But, not like meeting a celebrity, it felt more like meeting family - like community.

Thanks Gary for following your heart - I hope I can help or contribute to your life, business, and family - now and in the future."

Dear Gary,

I just wanted to let you know that I have subscribed to a lot of e-zines since I first found yours, and many of them do not contain any useful information - they are simply ads. Yours, however, always contains something I can apply to my life.

I feel that you really do care about your subscribers' success and are not just trying to trick people into buying something. Thanks for being a breath of fresh air in a scum-filled industry.
Regards.

Gary,

I have subscribed (and UNSUBSCRIBED) to hundreds of newsletters. I HAVE
NOT unsubscribed to yours.

Most newsletters are nothing more than sales pitches. You avoid that and I appreciate it.

I am more likely to purchase from you BECAUSE you're not HARD SELLING everything you have to offer (I know you know this, but I just want to THANK YOU for actually DOING IT!)

I now subscribe to just 6 newsletters...and yours is one of them!

Continued success.

I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for the information you are providing.

I'm finding it very helpful, not only are you providing resources and guidelines that will help to become successful in my internet business, you are also providing a source of positive encouragement as I face the daunting future of being unemployed from my chosen profession of over 20 years.

Thank you for helping me realize that with the right tools and, perhaps more importantly, the right attitude...I will succeed.

Hello Gary,

Your newsletter has been arriving in my mailbox for a little while now and I've come to value it enormously.

With a few hundred emails to sift through each morning I tend to rush down the page deleting or saving for later reading.

However, there are some incoming items that always cause me to pause and read them right there and then. (Loving messages from my wife for example :-))

I'm not saying that "Our Success Partnership" is in the same category as these passionate love notes. What I am saying is that it always inspires me and injects energy and enthusiasm into my morning. For that I thank you.

What you write and the way you write it has the potential to move people to action and to change their lives profoundly.

Thank you for your leadership and wise counsel.

With my warm personal wishes
